This latest Craft Moods edition has been created from patterns that were used in our kits made for the Brisbane Stitches and Craft Shows and sold through Crochet Australia. Dressing table sets contain large and small mats, so these can be used individually or as a set. So for something that is novel and fun to crochet, these certainly should appeal to those who are after something a little different to your average round doily. If you work with #10 thread, choose from Lady in Pink with the sun hat, Butterflies with pineapple design wings, Swans with optional beading and the stunning Irish Rose and Leaf. For the #20 crocheter try the Pansy Basket, a basket worked in shell and pineapple design overflowing with pansies worked in #8 perle.
All of these designs are relatively simple, although the Irish rose does require a bit of time to complete the leaves. As an added bonus for the lovers of thicker thread, the Butterflies can also be worked in Perle #5 or 4ply cotton for larger mats.
