CMPATC112 Octagonal Rug using sideways 6 clustered shell stitch

Australian crochet pattern by Vicki Moodie for an octagonal rug approx 130cm diameter.

This octagonal rug is worked in rounds using 4ply baby yarn (310g main colour and a total of 265g of 4 contrast colours). The pattern consists of only 2 rounds and so you don’t get lost we have provided a chart to show the colour and number of shells in each round and where to place markers for the increases. The stitch used is a sideways 6 clustered shell stitch (that’s what we call it anyway) and we have provided step by step instructions along with colour pictures to show how the pattern is achieved.
