Product Description

Warm and Cosy in Crochet, by Moodie, Vicki (Australian)

This new edition, BK58, Warm and Cosy in Crochet, is the 6th book in our knitted/crocheted tea cosy series. Most of the 5 patterns are crocheted in 2, 4 and 6 cup sizes and you will have a few surprises on the way. Most are relatively easy, some include liners, but anything challenging just requires a little practice of the stitches used. The Puff Stitch cosy is exciting as it can be just plain puff stitch, or become a pineapple or a sunflower.

There are 2 cosy patterns worked on a lattice - Cluster Petals and Scraps on Lattice.

The Cluster Petals cosy was originally published as individual Craft Moods pattern CMPATC047 Porcelain Doll Petal Tea Cosy in 2007, but we have added 2 more sizes and provided different ways to enjoy your creation. This one is worked on a lattice and has a liner. It used a porcelain half doll, but now you can adapt to a plastic half doll which is readily available or just top your cosy with a flower simply by changing the colour of the first petal row. This is crocheted in 4ply and the 2 new sizes were worked from my stash.

Scraps on Lattice is also crocheted on a lattice and uses 8ply yarn from my stash. The diagonal design is simple and can be made stunning by using different combinations of colours.

The Crossed Shell cosy at first appears as a challenge, but as the name implies, it is just a new technique worked in shells. You miss a shell, work a shell, then reverse the direction crossing over the first shell. Just follow the directions in the pattern and you will make a very visually effective diagonal patterned cosy.

The Dog pattern was previously published by Craft Moods as crochet pattern CMPATC083 in 2017 but is now in 2 cup and 4 cup sizes. Crochet in your favourite dog colours and accessorize to suit your pooch.

This time we have something for everyone. We have provided a few different colourways, as shown in the many colour pictures and some interchangeable ideas for decorations. So just follow the simple, clear and concise instructions and your tea pot will be Warm and Cosy in no time at all.

Other books in our tea cosy range are BK09 Keep it Cosy and BK44 (A4) Inspirational Tea Cosies (both knit and crochet) with all crochet books being BK32 Showtime Tea Cosies, BK54 (A4) Love That Tea Cosy and BK56 (A4) Times Gone By crocheted tea cosies.

All patterns use British crochet terminology.
